Team Formation and Player Placement 2016/17
Blaine Soccer Club are revamping their 2016 Tryouts and Team Evaluation process to best place players on the correct team for the 2016/2017 season.
In these changing times, it is vital that BSC has a comprehensive and accurate, club driven Team Placement process. It is the responsibility of the Blaine Soccer Club to give every player a consistent tryout and evaluation opportunity. Our goal is to accurately place each player on a team, that will enhance their development as a soccer player.
You may not always agree with our decision, but our process will be consistent and honest.
Factors Influencing Team Formation and Player Placement
- In Season Performance - The input and feedback from our team coaches, DOC and Staff Coaches is vital. Each team Head Coach is required to submit their team ranking evaluations which are used to best place players. Coaches input is vital but not the entire player placement evaluation.
- Tryout Results - BSC will be implementing a new player evaluation technique during tryouts. One that will be geared towards consistency, honesty and performance. Our tryout results will be combined with Coach Rankings to provide a true and comprehensive player evaluation for accurate Team Formation and Player Placement. During tryouts, we will not use gimmicks or fancy evaluation methods. The players will play soccer games during tryouts only.
