PACT is an educational program developed at the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Ethical Education and Development. The program is designed to help coaches and parents to be on the same page in successfully creating a positive and motivating climate in Minnesota youth soccer.
Blaine Soccer Club offers PACT parent seminars on a regular basis. One parent of each new U9 Travel player is required to attend the parent seminar. Parents of players in other age-groups are encouraged to attend.
PACT was developed based on research from developmental, educational and sports psychology. PACT empowers coaches and parents to realize their unique roles in fostering athlete character development, optimal performance, well-being and satisfaction. This helps child athletes to:
Enjoy their participation in soccer more
Be more motivated to play and improve
Have an improved sense of self through competition
PACT seminars are offered in the fall (Aug-Oct) and winter (Jan-Apr) by MYSA member clubs including the Blaine Soccer Club. To find more information on PACT please go to: http://www.mnyouthsoccer.org/page/show/680942-pact
